During my recent adventure in Tzakhkadzor, I found myself at the Alva Hotel, and I must say, it offers an intriguing balance of luxury and value, especially for travelers like me who appreciate thoughtful details. Nestled among the mountains, the hotel comprises lovely cottages surrounded by serene forests, creating a calming atmosphere-a perfect fit for nature lovers. Our room was well-appointed with essentials like an electric kettle, daily complimentary coffee, tea, and fresh fruits, ensuring we felt at home. What truly impressed me was the proximity to the ski slopes; just 50 meters away, we could seamlessly glide down to the ropeway, eliminating the need for shuttles that other accommodations require. After a day of skiing, unwinding at the hotel's restaurant, where the BBQ was surprisingly good, added to the experience. Though the staff's English wasn't perfect, their hospitality made up for it. The Alva Hotel strikes a smart balance between an enjoyable experience and reasonable pricing-definitely worth considering when planning your ski escape in Armenia.
